Impressive military troops that the United States has in the Middle East. Military and personal installations in many countries in the region

The US has about 40,000 military and civilians in the Middle East, with troops in over ten countries and ships in the region waters, the Udeid Base in Qatar, attacked on Monday with Iran missiles, being the largest in the region, with a number of 10,000 soldiers, according to EFE.

The Americans maintain military and personal installations in the bases in at least 19 places in Saudi Arabia, Bahrein, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Syria, EFE shows.

In addition, the US Army uses large bases in Djibouti and Turkey, which is under the control of other regional commands, but contributes to American Operations in the Middle East.

The Pentagon also uses the base on the island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, which it operates with the United Kingdom.

Al Udeid, the largest US Base in the Middle East

The largest American base in the Middle East, Al Udeid, is hosted by Qatar, just near the capital Doha.

Another 2,500 American soldiers are located in Iraq, a much smaller number than the approximately 150,000 American soldiers during the war that overturned Saddam Hussein.

Iraq has two major air bases where there is American staff: Ain al Asad in the ANBAR province of center of Iraq and Erbil in the Kurdistan region. Many of the operations of these bases are related to the antijihadist struggle.

The same purpose, to combat radical Islamic groups, is also the argument behind the US military presence in Syria, where the US has about 2,000 soldiers working with local security forces. A base that is highlighted is the tangle, located near the border with Iraq and Jordan.
