As Reuters reports, a powerful explosion occurred in the church of Saint Elijah in the Dweila district in the capital of Syria, Damascus.
According to the accounts of witnesses, which Reuters references, it follows that the perpetrator of the explosion is a suicide bomber who detonated the belt with an explosive. Safety forces surrounded the area with a cordon.
Damascus security spokesman did not answer the request for a comment – informs Reuters.
