The Russian forces have intensified the offensive operations on several fronts, said Victor Tarrant, the spokesman of the Ukrainian group Hortitia, responsible for defensive in several fighting sectors, according to The Kyiv Independent.
Tarrant said that the Russian troops intensified the attacks, especially in the front sectors of Novopavlivka and Kharkov, which represents an unusual evolution for these areas.
The General Staff of Ukraine has previously announced that Russian forces have launched attacks in 12 directions, which resulted in 99 collisions of troops. The Ukrainian soldiers rejected 17 attacks only in the front sector of Novopavlivka, according to the latest bulletin on the Russian invasion issued by the Ukrainian army leadership.
“This indicates that we have to wait for an intensification of the activity during the summer period,” Taruvov said, in an intervention on national television.
He also stated that intensifying the activity near Novopavlivka suggests that Russian forces are trying to enter the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is adjacent to the Donetk region, at the center of the Russian army efforts.
“But they (the Russians, no) did not succeed,” added the spokesman.
In Donetsk, the Russian army tries to circle the city of Kosteanticka, one of the main Ukrainian logistics centers in the region from the beginning of the Russian invasion, attacking the city in three directions, according to Tarupeov.
Last week, on June 13, President Volodimir Zelenski said that throughout the northeast border of Ukraine continues to be intense struggles.
The Russian forces concentrated about 53,000 soldiers in the combat sector, advancing in several settlements. The Ukrainian president confirmed that small Russian recognition groups have passed for a short time in the Dnipropetrovsk region, probably for propaganda purposes.
