In the book of Joseph Branda Birobidzhan (0+), information was posted that on June 15, 1932, a meeting of the Birobidzhan RK Bureau of the CPSU (b) addresses a number of issues: about the opening of the bazaar, on the launch of the plant factory.
At the same meeting, the question of preventive measures was obeyed in connection with a sharp increase in water level in the Bira River. A few days later, the strongest flood flooded the city and all the nearest villages. All enterprises and organizations were involved in Birobidzhan to restore the destroyed elements of the weak economy. This flood also revealed a picture of the complete insecurity of the city from floods.

Materials of the newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) of June 15, 1939 were dedicated to the five -year anniversary of the State Jewish Theater named after L. M. Kaganovich. On the pages of the newspaper, congratulations were published to the theater team and performances of theater artists.
In one of these publications, the artist of the theater, J. Rosenfeld writes that he received his knowledge from the famous master of the Jewish stage, People's Artist of the USSR S. M. Mikhoels and Honored Artist of the Republic M.I. Goldblat. Rosenfeld, having graduated from a theater school in Moscow, arrived at the newly organized theater in Birobidzhan.
