The study shows that 58 percent Poles will spend their holidays in the country – the most by the sea (32 percent) and in the mountains (22 percent). In turn, 35 percent will go abroad. A total of over 3/4 of the respondents declared that they are planning a holiday trip in the period from June to September – this is one of the highest results in Europe. Only Italians (83 percent) and Spaniards (80 percent) plan the trip more often. Similarly to Poles, the trip is also declared by the Swiss, and less often – the British (77 percent), French and Austrians (74 % each), Dutch (70 percent) and Germany (66 percent).

The report emphasized that when choosing a vacation space for over two -thirds of respondents (66 percent) takes into account environmental risk – such as fires or floods (an increase of 5 percentage points). In turn, more than half (56 percent) plan to change the way of traveling to limit their impact on the environment, e.g. by choosing a more sustainable transport or ecological accommodation (increase by 5 percentage points).
The authors of the study emphasized that more and more people planning the trip are choosing additional protection in the form of tourist insurance – 69 percent. (increase by 3 percentage points) travelers from Poland declared that he would buy tourist insurance or already have it.

The study showed that 61 percent European travelers are afraid of growing costs of trips. Poles, however, are worried about them less (43 percent of indications) – than Germany (69 percent), British (68 percent) or Italians (68 percent). Every fifth respondent from Poland (22 percent) does not plan trips at all – in this group almost half for financial reasons. As the authors of the information noted, this is a relatively low percentage of non -recruitors compared to other countries, e.g. in the Netherlands it is 30 percent. and in Germany 34 percent

The study also shows that Poles are willing to reduce daily expenses to go to rest – 65 percent plans to give up entertainment, and 61 percent Postpone the purchase of a car or renovation of the apartment. “At the same time, when we are planning a trip, we want it to be unique – as much as 51 percent of Polish tourists (most in the list) will take care of luxurious experiences during travel (not sparing major expenses – after all, the holidays are once a year)” – added the authors.
The study “International Travel Confidence Index 2025” was conducted by Opinionway on a group of 9.3 people from nine European countries using the CAWI method on April 11-22 this year. 1045 respondents were subject to the study in Poland.
