A serious road accident happened on Friday evening, June 6, in Bucharest, where two pedestrians were hit by a car while crossing the street. Following the impact, a man died on the spot, and a woman was urgently transported to the hospital.

According to the information transmitted by the Road Brigade, at the wheel of the car was a 74 -year -old man. He was traveling from the roads of the industries to the Pantelimon Road, at which point he surprised and injured two people who were crossing on the Road Căţelu.
“From the first data, the driver of a 74 -year -old vehicle, who was traveling on the road of the Căţelu station, from the road to the Pantelimon Road, surprised and injured two pedestrians, who had committed to cross the road.”transmitted the General Police Directorate of the Municipality of Bucharest (DGPMB) – the Road Brigade.
The injured man, who was between 45 and 50, did not respond to the resuscitation maneuvers performed by the medical crews and was declared died on the spot. The 49 -year -old woman was injured and transported to the hospital for medical care.
The septuagenary driver was tested for alcohol consumption and prohibited substances, the results being negative in both cases.
“Next, investigations are carried out by the police within the Road Brigade, in order to establish exactly the causes and circumstances of the road accident”, completed DGPMB.
