The Capital Police opened an investigation after the banner with the message “Stop LGBT” displayed on an abandoned block in Titan

The Capital Police announce that it has opened an investigation to identify and detect the people who placed the banner with Homofb message on an abandoned block in the Titan neighborhood in the Capital. “We mention that the banner in question has been removed,” the police said.
The appearance of the banner with the message “Stop LGBT” was reported on Thursday by Mozaiq, an organization that fights for the rights of LGBTI. The organization claimed that “although the Capital Police was notified, it refuses to intervene on the grounds that a formal complaint has not been filed.”
In a statement sent on Friday, the Capital Police announces that the police officers “have immediately started the specific activities in such situations”.
“Following the appearance in the public space, of information that refers to the fact that, on a building in the Capital, a banner has been displayed on which a message is inscribed that refers to the sexual orientation of some people, the information service and public relations is empowered to communicate the following: the police officers of the Capital have started the specific activities”.
“Thus, the police officers from the 23rd Police Section, the authorized institutions, respectively, the police officers from the Local Police Sector 3, as well as the discipline in constructions and street display-sector 3, were also on the spot. The situation imposes it.
At the same time, activities have been started in order to identify and detect the persons suspected of committing the deed, states the Capital Police.
“The checks are continued by the police officers from the 23rd Police Section in order to establish the situation and take the legal measures that are required. The Capital Police reaffirms their commitment to act promptly and impartially in all situations that fall within the competence, within the limits of the law,” says the police.
