The leader of the general ranking in Formula 1, Oscar Piastri (24 years old), acknowledged that the threat represented by Max Verstappen (27 years old) could force the McLaren team to implement team orders between him and Lando Norris.
After his victory in Spain, on Sunday, Piastri has a 10 -point advance compared to Norris, while Verstappen is 49 points behind the Australian in the title fight.

Since the beginning of the season, the world champion quadruple has been the highest threat to McLaren pilots, being the only one who managed to “steal” them two victories, triumphing in Japan and Emilia-Romagna.
“We both want to be world champions”commented Piastri for Viaplay, quoted by Sportal.bg.
“When you have two fast pilots who can fight for the title, you have to let them fight. But, if one of us comes out in front and, say, Max, maybe someone else, but most likely will be max, is still in the fight for the title, then yes, At one point one could reach team order. But I think we are very far from this moment, ”added the Australian.

Norris: “I didn't have the speed to fight with an Oscar”
Lando Norris acknowledged after the Grand Prize of Spain that he did not have the speed to fight with his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who won the fifth victory of the season, while Norris finished the second on the Catalunya circuit.
“Oscar made a very good race. I had no way to fight with him. I gave all that I could. The race was long, whatever could happen to the end. We both struggled a little after Safety Car. It was a beautiful and fun race, and for us, as a team, to finish the first and second place is the better, “said Norris.
