President Nicuşor Dan was asked on Saturday, during a visit to Salina Praid, if it is true that VAT will increase. By avoiding a direct answer, he announced a press conference in which he will answer all the journalists' questions.

“It's another topic. On Tuesday, at 1:00 pm, we have a press conference, finally, at the Cotroceni Palace and we answer all the questions”, Nicuşor Dan mentioned.
Nicuşor Dan said on Friday that he starts from the premise of not raising VAT. “Absolutely everyone agrees that work taxation does not have to increase. I still think it is not good to increase taxes. What will happen will result from negotiations”, he explained, writes News. The president was asked, on Friday, if following the discussions with the representatives of the business environment, the possibility of VAT increase was re -evaluated.
“It is a technical discussion. I start from this premise. What will happen, depending on the constraints … the working group that formed yesterday will work every day and intend to finish at the end of next week,” he said.
