It is worth applying several tricks and wood sawdust will not only improve the soil structure, and will also help maintain moisture on hot days and reduce the amount of weeds on the site.
Mulching plants
Spread the sawdust between the plants with a thin layer of 3 to 5 cm. This method will not only help the earth to retain moisture, but also protect against overheating. It is important that the sawdust is rotten. The ideal exposure period is 1 year. Fresh sawdust is pulled from the soil nitrogen. Because of this, the plants can droop, slow down their height and start to look painful.
Stock compost
Forget about store products. Sawdles are the best basis for the rapid ripening of compost. You will get a fertile humus if you prepare the correct mixture. For its composition, it is enough to mix their sawdust with grass, kitchen waste and ash.
Improvement of soil
Sawdles are well suited for loosening clay soil. Experienced gardeners know how much trouble with such earth. To improve its structure, you need to add one bucket of sawdust per square meter during digging the site. Do not forget to process the sawdust of urea before this. It will be enough to add two tablespoons to one bucket. It is necessary to soak the sawdust in the finished solution, and only then add to the soil.
Important! Use only clean sawdust. They should not be covered with varnish, glue or paint. Such a material is toxic for soil and plants.
