In Krasnoyarsk, an investigation into a criminal case was completed against a former police officer accused of bribery, the regional investigation committee said.
According to the investigation, from August 2018 to May 2023, the head of the technical supervision of the traffic police of the MU of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Krasnoyarsk” received a bribe from an individual entrepreneur in a total of about 400 thousand rubles.
“The illegal monetary reward was intended for the assistance of the police officer in reducing the number of inspections of the activities of an individual entrepreneur who was engaged in city passenger transportation, and a more loyal attitude during their conduct,” the investigative department reminded.

The police officer was charged with receiving a large -scale bribe (paragraph “c” of part 5 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). He was fired from law enforcement agencies, now he is waiting for the court in custody.
“The bribe taker is exempted from criminal liability on the basis of a note to Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in connection with a voluntary message about the fact of the transfer of bribes and cooperation with the investigation. The criminal case was sent to the prosecutor's office to approve the indictment and the subsequent referral to the court for consideration on the merits, ”the investigator explained.
