Deputy Florin Manole was elected, on Monday, by the PSD's National Permanent Bureau, as the party spokesman, announced the interim Social Democrats, Sorin Grindeanu, quoted by Reuters.
'The purpose of this meeting was (…) administrative, internal organization, things related to the weekly agenda in Parliament, and in the House, and Senate, things related to the daily administration of the party. We also took the opportunity to choose a new spokesman – the deputy Florin Manole ', said Grindeanu, after the meeting of the National Political Bureau of the PSD.
Manole replaces PSD spokesman Lucian Romașcanu, who announced on May 6, in a message published on his Facebook page, that he resigns from all the political and administrative functions he has and that he “withdraws from political life”, in the context in which he will soon take “a dignity that implies a political independence”.
After a week, Romașcanu, former president of the Buzău County Council was officially appointed member of Romania at the Court of European Accounts, an institution that verifies whether EU funds are collected and used correctly.
