The helicopter of the Kremlin leader, Vladimir Putin, would have been at the center of the efforts to reject a massive drone attack of the Ukrainian forces during his visit to the Russian Kursk region. The information was supported by Iuri Dashkin, the commander of the Kursk Air Defense Division, reports Ukrainska Pravda.

According to Dashkin, during the visit of President Putin on May 20, “the Ukrainian army launched an unprecedented attack,” and the Russian air defense would have destroyed 46 drones.

“I wore an anti -aircraft fight simultaneously and provided the air security for the president's helicopter. (…) The helicopter was actually in the epicenter to reject a large -scale drone attack,” the Russian commander said.

Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine this weekend, with the largest number of drones and missiles launched in a single night.

In fact, Russia has promised reprisals since Friday, accusing Ukraine of launching massive drones against targets that he qualified as “non-military” in Moscow and other regions.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday that Ukraine has launched about 800 western drones and manufacturing missiles from May 20 on targets away from the front line, considering this attempt to disturb the direct Russian-Ukrainian discussions that have been resumed with US mediation.

For his part, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported an increase in attacks with Ukrainian drones aimed at Moscow, which forced the last days the airports in the Russian capital suspend their flights for several hours before resuming them.

On the other hand, the General Staff of the Ukrainian army announced on Friday that its forces had hit a battery manufacturing facility in the Russian region Lipețk, which he said supplied Russian missile and bombs.

“Removing the factory could leave some of the military equipment of Russian occupants without critical batteries,” says the Ukrainian command, indicating that the batteries made at the Energy plant, in the Russian city, were used in the manufacture of air bombs, cruise missiles and iskander ballistic missiles.

Russia regularly launches massive rockets and drones on Ukraine. Kiev, which does not have a long -range missiles, which Moscow has, responds with internal -plated productions, recalls Reuters.
