Metallica will perform at the National Arena in 2026

Metallica, the most popular Thrash Metal band in the world, will perform on the National Arena on May 13, 2026, with the Gojira and Knocked Loose bands specially invited.
Stopping in Bucharest is part of the Metallica M72 world tour. Also in May 2026, the American band will perform in Greece, Poland, Germany and Switzerland.
Tickets will be put up for sale on Friday, May 30, at 10:00, the Emagic organizer announced.
In addition to Bucharest, the European team of the band will also include Lisbon, Barcelona, Milan, Berlin, Dublin, Budapest or Warsaw. It will be the fifth time that Metallica concerts in the Capital, after 1999 (Lia Manoliu), 2008 (Cotroceni), 2010 (Romexpo) and 2019 (National Arena). In several of the mentioned cities, posters of “teaser” appeared, with the band's logo.
Since the 2011 inauguration, the National Arena has been the host of several important concerts: Coldplay, Depeche Mode, Guns N'Roses, Ed Sheeran or Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
