Poland and Ukraine have signed an important agreement. We know the details


The Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksij Kułeba signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday in Warsaw between the Polish ministry of funds and the Ukrainian Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories.
Ukraine declared in the contract Support for Polish companies that will want to take part in the regional reconstruction of Ukraine, e.g. through economic missions. The Ukrainian side will also share with the Polish local and domestic authorities Know How on building the infrastructure of civil law protection and region's resistance. As noted in the announcement, The transfer of this knowledge is particularly important for Poland in the context of aggressive Russian policy.
The agreement will be “beneficial for Poland”
The agreement also assumes that the Polish ministry of funds will support Kiev in preparing accession negotiations to the EU as part of the chapter on regional policy and coordination of structural instruments. Poland will also share with the neighbor's experiences regarding modern regional policy and state decentralization and can help prepare an efficient EU fund management system and investing at national, regional and local levels.
“It will also be beneficial for Poland that drawing from Polish and European solutions in the transformation process, Ukraine will create institutional and market principles modeled on those that we know throughout the EU. These uniform solutions will facilitate Polish entrepreneurs to conduct business activities, and public administration cooperation with Ukrainian partners ” – wrote in the MFIPR communiqué.
The agreement was signed on the occasion of the Committee for the Development Policy of the Regional Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
