recognition of Amnesty International as an adverse party


According to the prosecutor's office, the London headquarters of Amnesty International is to be the “center of the development of global rusophobic projects”, allegedly financed by Kiev allies. The members of the organization are accused of supporting extremist groups and financing the so -called foreign agents.
The Independent Portal Meduza pointed out that the amnesty has not yet been formally entered on the list of undesirable organizations – it usually occurs about a week after the prosecutor's office has announced such a decision. To date, the list includes 223 entities.
Entering the organization on the list means a ban on conducting any activity in Russia, and persons cooperating or supporting it may be held criminal liability.
Amnesty International deals with documenting violations of human rights around the world, including during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The organization accused the Russian authorities of crimes against humanity, including In connection with forced deportations and the so -called filtration of Ukrainian citizens.
