Lost skiers were found after many hours of searching. The rescue operation was completed on Saturday evening – the police of the canton Bern informed.
The body of one of the victims was found on the western slope of the Eiger Mountain. The second skier excavated from the heaps of snow was initially resuscitated, but soon after he died. Wounded skiers, four men and one woman, were transported by helicopter to the hospital, ”DPA agency said.

Eiger with a height of 3970 meters is the most famous peak of the Bernese Alps. Together with Mönch and Jungfrau, he creates a trio of large peaks in the northern part of Berner Oberland, Switzerland.
