George Simion, the first explanations after publishing the filming with Digi24 journalists without their knowledge: “They did not want debates. They wanted Circus and Regie”

The golden candidate in the second round of the presidential elections, George Simion, made a post on the personal blog on Tuesday evening explaining why he was missing from the electoral debate organized a day of Digi24. We recall that George Simion did not offer official explanations for his absence from the plateau, but, a few minutes after the start of the debate, he published a video recording from his office in which he is discussing with several journalists of the Digi24 station, who are addressed in a harsh tone.

On Tuesday night's post, George Simion claims that he accepted a debate initially proposed for May 7, but this did not take place because Nicușor Dan would not have confirmed the participation. Simion states that Digi24 subsequently refused the presence in the plateau without a counter-candidate and would have offered him only the variant of a show, which he refused.

“Last week, on Tuesday, the Digi24 television station personally asked me for an interview. On the principle of transparency, I decided to draw a line and start from T-0. I agreed to interview Mr. Prelipceanu, Mr. Pândaru, Negruțiu or to whom they. On May 7.

George Simion notes that he later received an official invitation for a debate on Monday, May 12, a debate that Nicușor Dan confirmed. “Since I received the invitation for the second debate, I have monitored with interest the approach and” impartiality “of the Digi24 journalists,” continued the gold candidate.

Thus, the Gold leader claims that the post journalists, especially Florin Negruțiu, have led “a massive campaign of denigration against me, the Gold Party and the people who support us.”

“I do not have a problem with the opinions expressed freely by Mr. Negruțiu, but I have a problem with hypocrisy, with the way he is put on my neck as impartial,” wrote Simion, specifying that he wanted a meeting with the Digi24 editorial “to ask for clarifications about the application of the impartiality principle.”

“In this frank discussion, which took place in me in the office, I did not want to give them lessons, but to look them in the eyes, and to look at me in the eye, when I tell them that both me and my voters, we were tired of being treated with contempt, with superiority and hypocrisy. Simion denies that he had filmed a meeting with Digi24 journalists in his office with a hidden camera.

“The cameras that were filmed were not hidden, they were put on the tripod, contrary to another lie broadcast by Digi24, in which they claim that the filming produced with a camera on my desk. The gold leader also states that he was falsely assigned to participate in the debates and accuses Nicușor Dan's team that he would have intentionally blocked the organization of real confrontations.
