Continuous Support for Released Detainees Discussed at Press Conference

A press conference titled “Continuous Support” was recently held at Ukrinform, focusing on the needs of individuals released from captivity and their requirements during the initial reintegration period. The exchange of these individuals marks the beginning of a lengthy recovery process, making it crucial to provide sustained assistance after their return.

During the event, a pilot project for long-term psychological rehabilitation was introduced, along with discussions on medical issues, case management, and support for the families of the released detainees. The outcomes of this pilot initiative will form the foundation for a government resolution that aims to establish a national protocol for ongoing support for those who have returned from captivity.
