Moldova has transferred two border guards to Ukraine, who were previously accused of illegally crossing the border. One of the guards, a 49-year-old man from Kyiv, was hospitalized with a concussion after attempting to swim across a river. He reported that he sustained the injury due to being struck with a paddle and even lost consciousness while in the water.
