Zelensky signed a law on ratification of an agreement with the United States on Ukrainian subsoil

On May 12, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed the bill No. 0309 adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on the ratification of the agreement on minerals between Ukraine and the USA. This is informed by the website of the parliament.

The bill, which The government registered in the Rada May 1, took as a basis on the whole on May 8. The ratification of the document was supported by 338 deputies.

The speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk signed the decision on May 10.

The agreement on Ukrainian resources Ukraine and the United States signed on April 30. The document provides for the creation of a joint investment fund with an equal distribution of participation – 50/50. Fund funds will be invested only in Ukraine – in mining, oil, gas, infrastructure and processing projects. At the same time, complete control over subsoil and resources remains for Ukraine, as well as the right to determine the conditions for the use of national resources.
