Lithuania’s Parliament has officially approved an amendment that permits the deployment of nuclear weapons within its borders. This decision comes in response to increasing security concerns in the region.
Previously, the Russian Foreign Ministry indicated that there would be consequences if Lithuania proceeded with such a deployment. Furthermore, Russia has implemented a curfew along its border with Estonia, heightening tensions.
It’s noteworthy that last year’s Russian-Belarusian military exercises, named “West-2025,” were specifically focused on scenarios involving potential strikes and the seizure of the Suwalki Corridor, which is located adjacent to Lithuania.
