Russia Reports Cyber Attacks on Online Voting System During Elections

On Saturday, Russian officials announced that they had faced cyber attacks targeting voting systems and communication networks across the country during the second day of parliamentary elections. President Vladimir Putin previously claimed that Ukraine was attempting to disrupt the elections, although he provided no evidence to support this assertion.
The elections for the State Duma mark the first such event since the large-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. Analysts expect that the ruling party, United Russia, which supports Putin, will maintain its dominance in the tightly controlled Russian political landscape.
