Russian Drone Strike Destroys Warehouse of Zelensky’s Production Company

A Russian drone strike has resulted in the destruction of a warehouse belonging to Kvartal 95, the production company co-founded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his time as an actor and comedian. The company announced the news on Wednesday, confirming the incident via social media.

According to Kvartal 95, the attack led to the loss of a significant number of props, costumes, and items that had been part of their performances and productions for the past 20 years. Images shared by the company showed firefighters battling a large blaze at their facility.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the attack. The studio emphasized that while Russian weapons can destroy properties, they will not halt their operations. “We continue to work, write jokes, and support the defenders of Ukraine,” the company stated, adding that it will proceed with a charity show planned for mid-October.

Kvartal 95 was established in 2003 by Volodymyr Zelensky and brothers Boris and Serhii Shefir, all hailing from Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine. The company is best known for producing the series “Servant of the People” (2015-2019), in which Zelensky portrayed a simple history teacher who unexpectedly becomes the President of Ukraine, marking the beginning of his political career.
