Rafał Brzoska Criticizes Meta Over Misleading Ads Featuring Public Figures

Rafał Brzoska, the founder of InPost, has once again taken aim at Meta, criticizing the platform for permitting advertisements that exploit the likenesses of well-known individuals to promote dubious investment opportunities. This time, the images of Marshal of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak and President Karol Nawrocki were used in the promotional materials.
In a post on platform X, Brzoska highlighted a new series of advertisements promoting alleged attractive investments. This follows a protracted conflict between him and the owner of Facebook and Instagram, in which he has repeatedly accused Meta of inadequate measures against fraudulent ads that exploit the images of entrepreneurs, politicians, and celebrities to entice users into investing their money.
Brzoska vs. Meta: Ongoing Dispute
This recent post marks another chapter in an ongoing dispute that has lasted for months. Brzoska has stressed that the scale of the issue demands more decisive action from tech platforms. He advocates for solutions that would enhance the accountability of internet giants regarding the advertising content published on their networks.
Call for Greater Responsibility
Brzoska believes that current control mechanisms are insufficient, as fraudulent advertisements continue to reach social media users. The entrepreneur argues that public figures regularly become victims of unauthorized image usage, putting internet users at risk of financial losses.
