Dinamo Bucharest achieved a clear 4-1 victory over Sporting Liești in the opening match of the Betano Romania Cup group stage. The match was effectively decided in the first half, during which Dinamo scored three goals.
Joining Dinamo in Group D are FC Voluntari, Universitatea Craiova, FC Bacău, and Chindia Târgoviște. In other matches, FC Voluntari triumphed over Chindia 1-0, while the fixture between FC Bacău and Craiova is scheduled for Thursday.
Alexandru Musi opened the scoring in the 4th minute, followed by Cătălin Cîrjan who extended the lead in the 16th minute. Musi then scored again just three minutes later, bringing the score to 3-0.

In the 86th minute, Sporting Liești managed to score a penalty through Petrișor Voinea after Oliver Hintsa fouled a player in the box. Prior to that, Hintsa had found the net in the 83rd minute following a pass from Adrian Mazilu.
Injuries were a concern for Dinamo as Răzvan Radu was replaced by Raul Opruț after sustaining an injury in the 57th minute. Cătălin Cîrjan also had to be substituted due to injury shortly before halftime.
The match took place at the Oțelul Stadium in Galați, as Sporting Liești’s home ground lacks floodlights.
