The Ukrainian Red Cross is collaborating in a program aimed at assisting agricultural producers of grain and oilseed crops, specifically those managing between 100 and 3,000 hectares. This initiative allows Ukrainian farmers to receive grain sleeves at no cost, which are designed to help preserve harvested products amid the scarcity or damage of traditional grain storage facilities.
Each grain sleeve has the capacity to store approximately 200 tons of harvest. Applications for this program can be submitted through the State Agricultural Register until September 13, 2026.
This program is being implemented in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the United Nations World Food Programme, Mercy Corps, and the Ukrainian Red Cross, with support from the U.S. government, and in close cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as well as the governments of Canada, the European Union, and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
