On Thursday evening, just before Ajax and Sion clashed for a spot in the Conference League group stage, an 11-year-old from Ajax’s U11 team, Syb Zeldenthuis, showcased his skills by juggling a ball for charity. Each successful juggle translated to a one-euro donation to the Ajax Foundation.
As the players warmed up for their match, Zeldenthuis embarked on his philanthropic endeavor with a small ball, akin to a handball, performing juggles on a red circle marked on the field.
He remarkably completed 3,085 juggles at the Johan Cruijff Arena, but was eventually halted by a staff member as the match was about to commence.
For each juggle without the ball touching the ground, one euro was pledged to the Ajax Foundation, which will go towards helping those in need.

Zeldenthuis’s impressive feat means that a total of 3,085 euros will be allocated for charitable purposes. On the pitch, Ajax secured a victory against Sion with a score of 5-3, advancing in the Conference League after a 4-2 win in the first leg.
