In a series of drone attacks overnight, multiple warehouses belonging to Ozon, a prominent Russian e-commerce company, were set on fire across various regions. The Governor of Krasnodar Krai, Veniamin Kondratyev, reported that debris from a drone struck a private children’s center in Krasnodar, resulting in the tragic deaths of two children, while seven other children and two adults suffered injuries.
“Debris from the drones also fell on residential buildings and those under construction. Fires ignited in the warehouses as a result of these strikes. All emergency services are currently on-site, and firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze,” Kondratyev stated.
According to Astra, large Ozon warehouses were targeted during the attacks. Russian media indicated that a warehouse for home goods, Kuchenland Home, was engulfed in flames in Krasnodar following the drone assault.
A significant warehouse, Ozon ‘Krasnodar_2_RFC,’ located near Enema in Adygea, was also attacked. Initially, Ozon reported the assault on its logistics center in Krasnodar; however, Astra clarified that the facility is situated in the village of Druzhny in the Takhtamukay district of Adygea. The head of Adygea confirmed the attack and subsequent fire at the Ozon logistics center, adding that personnel had been evacuated.
In Nevinnomyssk, located in the Stavropol Krai, a large regional fulfillment center of Ozon, spanning 93,500 square meters, caught fire. Ozon later announced that the warehouse had been evacuated due to the threat of an attack, and no staff were harmed; the facility and its goods remained intact.
In Dagestan, the Ozon logistics center in the Tyube industrial park, known as ‘Makhachkala_RFC,’ was struck. This center is noted as the largest Ozon warehouse in the North Caucasus, covering approximately 130,000 square meters. Reports indicate that a fire broke out, and Ozon acknowledged multiple injuries occurring in Dagestan. Operations at this site were halted, goods were removed from shelves, and logistics routes were being rearranged. Earlier, Dagestan authorities reported a fire in the warehouses due to drone debris, but claimed there were no injuries.
Furthermore, Exilenova+ highlighted that a storage facility belonging to ‘CMM-K’ in Krasnodar, covering around 9,000 square meters, was also affected. This site was primarily a wholesale storage base for construction materials and tools. The analyst noted local claims that the warehouse on fire was related to Ozon, suggesting it might serve dual purposes.
The attacks have left a significant impact across these regions, with visuals shared depicting the aftermath in Krasnodar, Enema, Nevinnomyssk, and Dagestan.
“In Tyube, Dagestan, footage from the morning attack shows the scope of the fire. It includes everything: the blaze, the drone strikes, and the operation of air defense systems,” stated the author of the post.
