UK Prime Minister Corresponded with Impersonator of Trump Administration Official

According to sources, the newly appointed UK Prime Minister, Burnham, engaged in correspondence with an individual impersonating Susie Wiles, a former head of the Trump administration. However, he later expressed concerns that this contact may have been fraudulent.
An insider revealed that following Burnham’s ascent to the premiership, there were several similar messages received, but emphasized that these communications held “no significant value.”
The British embassy in Washington was sufficiently alarmed by the incident to raise the issue directly with the White House, as reported by Politico, citing two officials.
Concerns emerged within the British government that Wiles’ phone may have been compromised again.
The specifics of the discussions with Burnham, including when the messages were sent, remain unclear.
Context
- Last year, the White House and FBI initiated an investigation after senators, governors, and American business leaders received texts and calls from someone claiming to be a head of the Trump administration. According to The Wall Street Journal, Wiles informed colleagues that her mobile contacts had been hacked.
