The head of the Polish government reacted to this information via platform X, emphasizing that the proposal of conversations is not enough. – “However, the world is waiting for an unambiguous decision on immediate and unconditional suspension of weapons. Ukraine is ready. No more victims!” – wrote Tusk.
According to the premiere, Russia's proposal is a reaction to the Saturday visit of leaders of the so -called Coalitions willing in Kiev. Donald Tusk, President of France Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Prime Minister of Great Britain Keir Starmer and the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski jointly appealed to Moscow for an immediate, unconditional suspension of weapons for 30 days and the start of peace conversations. The initiative was supported by about 30 world leaders who joined the online meeting with Kiev. US President Donald Trump was also among them.
President Zelanski also referred to the Russian proposal, judging it as a step in the right direction. – “This is a good sign that Russia finally began to think about the end of the war; we expect Moscow to confirm the suspension of weapons on Monday,” said the Ukrainian leader.
