Hungary Cuts Power Production at Paks Nuclear Plant Due to Low Danube River Levels

Nuclear power plants along the Danube River in Hungary and Romania have been compelled to reduce their electricity production this week, with the possibility of a complete shutdown in the coming days due to record low water levels. According to reports from Reuters on Thursday, Nuclearelectrica already ceased operations at Reactor 1 earlier this week as water levels reached unprecedented lows.
