Ukrainian Gymnast Performs ‘Dance of Freedom’ in Paris After Losing Leg

A 10-year-old Ukrainian gymnast, who lost her leg due to a Russian rocket strike in Zatoka, performed the “Dance of Freedom” in the heart of Paris. Despite her injury and the use of a prosthetic, Olexandra Pascal has returned to rhythmic gymnastics. She kicked off her world tour with a performance near the Arc de Triomphe. Her dance has become a powerful symbol of resilience for Ukrainian children, showcasing strength and the indomitable spirit of life amid war. The “Dance of Freedom” project is organized by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation with support from FC Shakhtar, marking the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. Following her performance in Paris, Sasha is scheduled to perform in New York, Rio de Janeiro, Nairobi, and Tokyo.
