Ukraine’s military leader, Kyrylo Budanov, has indicated that there are possibilities for the active phase of the conflict to conclude within this year. However, he cautioned that tensions are expected to rise until negotiations are reinstated. He firmly stated that any territorial concessions are out of the question, emphasizing that compromises regarding Ukraine’s territories or borders are absolutely impossible. Budanov also mentioned that Ukraine will not yield to pressure from Poland, similar to its refusal to accept ultimatums from Russia. He noted that winning on the battlefield is crucial, as leaders like Trump respect only victors.
