Zelensky Discusses Future Drone Warfare Over Moscow

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made a striking assertion regarding the future of warfare, indicating that the pivotal battles will occur in the skies. In a recent interview with the Financial Times, he expressed that as the number of drones targeting Moscow increases, the Russian leadership will begin to feel the repercussions of this aerial conflict more acutely.
According to Zelensky, the growing aerial capabilities of Ukraine have shifted the battlefield focus upwards, underscoring the importance of air superiority. He emphasized that while territory size may not be as critical, the ability to dominate the air is essential. However, he pointed out that Ukraine’s air defense capabilities remain a significant vulnerability.
The President urged European nations to take a more proactive approach by sharing technology and industrial resources to enhance Ukraine’s defense. He warned that relying solely on systems like the Patriot missile defense would not suffice to meet the demands of the situation.
Zelensky speculated that as Russian President Vladimir Putin starts to experience the effects of this changing landscape personally, it may lead to drastic decisions, including relocation away from Moscow. He concluded that the further Putin moves from Moscow, the closer the conclusion of the war will be.
