Julio Enciso Celebrates Paraguay’s Historic Penalty Shootout Victory Over Germany

Julio Enciso, the star player for Paraguay, expressed his excitement following the team’s historic win against Germany in a penalty shootout, concluding with a score of 4-3 after a 1-1 draw over 120 minutes.
As a forward for Strasbourg, Enciso scored Paraguay’s goal during regular play and dedicated the memorable victory to his grandfather after the dramatic penalty win.
Julio Enciso: “This is the Most Beautiful Day”
“I certainly dedicate this to my grandfather. I am sure he would be proud. This is the most beautiful day of my life. The first thing that comes to mind when I think about today is him – it’s a gift from God and from him. I want to send a lot of love to him, to our country, and to all the people. I’m sure this is the greatest day for every Paraguayan as well. I want to especially mention my teammates, they are simply incredible,” stated Julio Enciso, according to reports.
When asked about potential opponents for the next round of the tournament, whether he preferred France or Sweden, Enciso demonstrated confidence in his team’s capabilities.
“I have no preferences. With this team, we can face absolutely anyone. The truth is I am so happy; let’s just enjoy this achievement today. I love this country. We can measure ourselves against anyone. France has star players, Sweden does too, so whoever we play against, we will give our absolute best,” concluded the Strasbourg footballer.
During this World Cup tournament, Julio Enciso has participated in every match: he provided two key assists against the USA and Turkey, and scored his first goal in this tournament against Germany. The only match in which Enciso did not contribute significantly was the final group stage game against Australia, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
