Alaa Bellaarouch: The Rising Star Set to Join Dinamo

Alaa Bellaarouch, a 24-year-old goalkeeper, is regarded as a promising talent in professional football. The Moroccan player has been selected to strengthen Dinamo’s lineup for the upcoming season.
Bellaarouch, who had a stint at Braga and gained experience in Ligue 1, could emerge as a key starter under coach Nuno Campos. His journey in professional football took a notable turn when he saved a penalty from French superstar Kylian Mbappe during his Ligue 1 debut on December 2, 2024.
However, the young goalkeeper’s confidence took a hit shortly after, when a casual back pass from a teammate led to a mistake that allowed Asensio to score. Ultimately, Bellaarouch conceded another goal, ending the match 2-1 in favor of PSG.
Despite his potential, Bellaarouch is still regarded as a work in progress, waiting for the chance to become a consistent and effective starter. Last season at Braga, he was primarily a backup, appearing in only two matches and conceding three goals. His playing time included one match in the Portugal Cup against Nacional (4-2) and another in the Europa League against Lincoln FC (5-1), with Braga finishing fourth in Portugal and reaching the Europa League semifinals.
In Ligue 1, he played 15 matches, allowing 26 goals and keeping two clean sheets.
Dinamo Secures Bellaarouch on Loan with Future Purchase Option
Dinamo has reportedly reached an agreement with Braga to loan Alaa Bellaarouch until the season’s end, as confirmed by Italian journalist Luca Bendoni. The club will have the option to make the transfer permanent next summer for a fee of €500,000.
If the deal goes through, Strasbourg, which retains 50% of Bellaarouch’s rights, will receive half of the transfer fee, totaling €250,000. Currently, his market value is estimated at €400,000 according to Transfermarkt.
