The supply of Polish MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine is possible only after the signing of a bilateral agreement on the exchange of technologies between Warsaw and Kiev. Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland Cezary Tomczyk announced this on June 15 on Radio Zet.
In February, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said his country was ready to transfer MiG fighter jets to Ukraine in exchange for drones.
“We did not transfer fighter jets to Ukraine. The dialogue between Poland and Ukraine continues,” Tomczyk said.
He stressed that the Poles made it clear to Ukraine that Warsaw would like to use Ukrainian capabilities in the field of drones.
“We will transfer them if this issue is resolved. Nothing has changed in this matter,” Tomczyk added.
