Krasnoyarsk will tighten control over parking in spaces for disabled people

June 15 9:46
The mayor of Krasnoyarsk announced plans to tighten control over parking in parking lots for people with limited mobility.
He instructed the police service to deal with this issue after a meeting with members of the working group on accessibility of the urban environment.
“We need to step up our efforts to record violations and interact with the State Traffic Inspectorate. We also agreed to conduct an audit of parking lots in neighborhoods. We will evaluate the need to organize additional places for people with disabilities. Currently they are equipped in 66% of parking lots. In addition, we will consider the possibility of installing tactile signs at stops. We will continue installing audible traffic lights – there are currently 345 of them. This season we will continue to accept repaired roads only after inspection by experts with limited mobility. The same applies to the modernization of social facilities,” said Sergei Vereshchagin.
