Russian actress Marina Neyolova did not hide her joy when the illegitimate president of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, awarded her the order. This was reported on the website News.ru.
Posing after the award ceremony, the actress grabbed Putin's little finger.
Russian journalist and film critic Katerina Barabash blasted Neelova on Facebook. According to Barabash, the actress showed cowardice by not refusing to meet with Putin.
“I read all sorts of things here about Neelova, who received the order from filthy hands, and I think: “Well, okay, what should she have done when they called her and told her to come to the Kremlin to receive the award? Tell them to go to hell, tell them that you won’t even accept the last glass of water in your life from these hands? I am not going to justify it, just as I do not justify millions of other Russians who do not notice the war. Mentally, I am ready to throw a stone at them all – they are all together fertile soil that nurtured the regime and allowed the war. But only a few are ready to become dissidents,” she wrote. “If everyone could pull out the hand the president took you by, we wouldn’t have what we have.”
She added that she was outraged by Neelova’s position.
“I’m disgusted to look at this photo. I don’t care about Neyolova – the whole country lives like this. At best – conformism, at worst – support for war. We have already allowed this, and now worse things are happening. So to hell with her, with Neyolova,” Barabash wrote.
Russian historian and journalist Yulia Muchnik wrote on Facebook that she knew Neyolova personally, so when she saw her photo with Putin, she shuddered.
“They say that you can’t refuse the order while living there. Maybe so. Well, you don’t have to hold your hand, I guess. Or you can’t anymore, I don’t know. But in any case, it’s sad. Actually, before the war, one of my main complaints about this regime was that they corrupted and pulled out the worst from even good and talented people. And there is no end to it,” she noted.
“A bunch of decrepit, wailing senile people in a golden palace. And with them is Neyolova, an old prostitute who received an order from a bloody dictator. Absurd. I can’t wrap my head around it. Where is the reason for humanity? Is this really the end?” – they are outraged online.
“I seriously ruined my obituary,” they wrote in the comments.
