The X-Men star was diagnosed with a rare disease for men, which he was embarrassed to talk about

The star of the superhero film “X-Men”, 59-year-old American actor Tyler Mane, is battling breast cancer. He openly spoke about his diagnosis on June 9 on Facebook.

“I have breast cancer. And yes, it is a very rare disease. Only 1% of breast cancer cases occur in men. Honestly, my first reaction was to keep it a secret. It’s quite embarrassing. But then I found out that men are more often diagnosed with advanced cancer because they don’t talk about it,” he admitted. “In fact, all my doctors ignored it, and it was only because my wife insisted on removing the tumor that I was able to get tested at an early stage.”

The actor urged not to hush up the problem.

“1 in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and if caught early, it is very treatable,” he added.
