A 26-year-old motorcyclist lost his life on Wednesday, June 10, following a road accident on Bucurestii Noi Boulevard in the Capital. The young man collided with a tram.

The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. and was reported by calling 112.
“From the first investigations, it turned out that a 26-year-old man, who was traveling on a motorcycle on Bulevardul București Noi, from Chitila Road towards Jiului Street, in front of the STB depot, for reasons to be determined following the investigations, collided with the tram line 53, driven by a 54-year-old man, who was leaving the STB depot“, the Road Brigade of the Capital reported.
The medical crews intervened urgently and performed resuscitation maneuvers on the motorcyclist.
Unfortunately, the doctors could not do anything to save his life, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Vatman was tested with the breathalyzer, and the result was negative.
Road traffic in the area was temporarily restricted on the direction from Chitila Road to Pajurei Street, for the intervention and investigations.
The policemen of the Road Brigade continue their investigations to establish exactly the circumstances in which the accident occurred.
