Serious accident in Bihor: one dead and four injured, after the impact between a truck and several cars. Traffic blocked on DN 1 Huedin-Oradea

A woman died and four other people arrived at the hospital, after an accident that occurred on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in the town of Cornițel, Bihor county, in which a truck, two cars and an empty tank truck were involved, announces the Infotraffic Center of the Romanian Police.

The accident occurred on DN1, in the town of Cornițel, around 01:18, according to IPJ Bihor.

According to the police, from the on-site investigations, it was found that a 32-year-old man from Oradea, while driving a road train with a semi-trailer, entered the opposite direction of traffic, where he collided with two cars, one of which was towing another car on a trailer, as well as another car train.

“Following the road accident, a 53-year-old woman from the town of Căpușu Mare, Cluj county, a passenger in the second crashed car, suffered multiple injuries which, unfortunately, caused her death on the spot, despite the resuscitation maneuvers performed by the medical staff,” announced IPJ Bihor, quoted by the local website Bihon.

According to the Infotraffic Center, as a result of the collision, the road train overturned on the road surface, hit an electricity pole, and there were also fuel leaks on the road surface

Road traffic was stopped on both directions of DN 1 Huedin-Oradea.

Road traffic is diverted on DJ 108I Bucea – DJ 764 Bratca – DN 1 Borod. The opening of road traffic is estimated around 08:00.
