Chain problems for the Swiss in the US. Their base is surrounded by rattlesnakes, and now a fire has broken out as well

Being in the USA, the Swiss soccer team had some not-so-pleasant surprises. This formation's camp base is in a snake-infested area, and a fire has broken out 10 km away.

According to the Swiss media quoted by News.ro, a fire broke out on Monday, at 9.30 (19.30 in Romania), in the Sorrento Valley, less than 10 km from the Switzerland camp. For this reason, the residential areas of San Diego were evacuated, not the hotel where Murat Yakin's players are staying. What's more, they were even able to train.
Thanks to the efforts of the Californian firefighters, the fire was extinguished on Monday evening, the action also being supported by helicopters. “FIFA is monitoring the situation and has assured us so far that there are no problems for us,” a representative of the Swiss Football Association told the ATS news agency.
It should be remembered, however, that fires break out frequently in California, many of which are caused by high summer temperatures and dry vegetation.
Tourists have been bitten by rattlesnakes
On the other hand, the Swiss team had another surprise upon arrival in the USA. According to a picture posted on social media, her camp is in an area with snakes. In the photo you can see the surroundings of the training camp, including a training ground, a goalkeeping area, a locker room, a gym, and all around, shaded in red, is the “snake area”.

The region is known for its many reptiles, especially rattlesnakes. The New York Post also stated that numerous hikers were bitten there.
Switzerland will debut at the World Football Championship in the company of Qatar, on Saturday, June 13, at 22.00 (Romanian time). Then it will face Bosnia and Herzegovina (June 18, at 10 p.m.) and Canada (June 24, at 10 p.m.).
