T2, a Russian mobile operator, has launched cross-border transfers in its mobile application.
Now T2 clients can send funds abroad instantly, securely – from the balance of their mobile number. The geography of the service includes 10 countries, including the CIS and Southeast Asia. The service operates on the basis of the T-Bank payment infrastructure.
Transfers are available for territories such as: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Transnistria, Tajikistan, Laos and Uzbekistan. The list will expand.
“We have timed the launch of international transfers to coincide with the beginning of the travel season. We understand that when traveling, people need not only a stable connection, but also the ability to manage their finances quickly, safely and without unnecessary fees. Now our subscribers can instantly send funds abroad or receive them from loved ones, while remaining in the familiar and protected T2 ecosystem. Integration with the T2 mobile account allows you to make transactions in two clicks, the geography of services will expand,” said Elizaveta Guseva, director for development of financial and innovative services at T2.
Cross-border transfers are available in the T2 mobile application in the “Balance-Transfers Abroad” section. To make a transfer, you must select the recipient's country and bank, indicate your bank card or phone number, and confirm the operation. Funds will be credited within a few seconds.
Currency conversion occurs automatically at the current rate; funds are transferred to the foreign card in national currency. No commission is charged.
The international transfer service operates on the basis of the T-Bank payment infrastructure. In 2025, T2 and T-Bank signed a memorandum on the development of joint projects in the field of fintech services. Cross-border transfers are the first joint project of the companies.
“The launch of international transfers in the T2 application is an important practical result of our partnership and another step in the development of open ecosystems. We see that clients increasingly need financial services where they already solve everyday problems: managing communications, balances, services and subscriptions. Integration of T-Bank’s payment infrastructure into the T2 application allows making international transfers simple, fast and familiar – without the need to switch between different services,” said Sergei Khromov, vice president, director of the department of key ecosystem products of T-Bank.
