Dinamo enters, from this week, the era of Nuno Campos. The Lusitanian technician is to be officially presented on Thursday, during a press conference, and a day later he will make the first contact with some of the players, especially the young ones, loaned out or who got less minutes in the mandate of Zeljko Kopic.

One of the first important decisions that the coach coming from the Hungarian team Zalaegerszegi will have to make will look at the situation of Eddy Gnahore. The French midfielder's contract expires this summer, but his case is different from those of Georgi Milanov, Jordan Ikoko, Valentin Țicu or Kennedy Boateng, players who left Dinamo these days.

“We will have a discussion with Eddy, but the opinion of the new coach will also matter”, declared Andrei Nicolescu, the president of the club, recently.

Eddy Gnahore wants to stay at Dinamo

According to the latest information, both the management of Dinamo and Gnahore are open to continuing the collaboration, but under certain conditions. The final decision will belong to the club and the new technical staff. The French would like to stay in Stephen the Great!

The main obstacle is represented by the financial aspect. Gnahore is among the highest paid players in the lot, with his earnings exceeding €20,000 per month, including performance bonuses. Dinamo would like a decrease in salary to be able to reach an agreement regarding the extension of the contract.

Undeniably, Gnahore remains one of the most important men of the “Dogs”, perhaps even the most inspired transfer made during the Red&White period. The Frenchman established himself as the balance point of the midfield and one of the leaders of the locker room.

Since his arrival at Dinamo, the midfielder has amassed 97 appearances in all competitions, managing 6 goals and 5 assists. In the recently concluded season he contributed two goals and two assists. His last offensive contribution came at Mioveni, in the draw with FC Argeș, score 1-1, one of the few matches in which he was not started by Zeljko Kopic.

According to the specialized portal transfermarkt, Eddy Gnahore is currently quoted at 750,000 euros. The highest market value of his career was reached in the summer of 2019, when it was valued at 4 million euros.

Throughout his career, the Frenchman also played for Birmingham City, Carrarese, Napoli, who loaned him to Carpi, Crotone and Perugia, Palermo, Amiens, Wuhan Zall and Ascoli.
