24 hours before the Champions League Final Four matches, the MVM Dome in Budapest hosted a meeting between the fans and the participating teams.
- This year's Champions League semi-finals are scheduled for June 6: Metz – CSM Bucharest (4:00 p.m.) and Brest – Gyor (19:00); The final will be played on June 7, from 19:00.
Budapest can boast one of the most spectacular arenas in Europe. MVM Dome cost 230 million euros and was inaugurated in 2021.
Since then, it has become the home of the Champions League Final Four and a regular host for international artists. For example, immediately after the weekend dedicated to handball, there will be a concert in the 20,000-seat hall extinguished and Scorpions.
Until an “Englishman in New York” shook the ceiling, about 2000 fans tested the acoustics of the polyvalent. They braved the rain outside and responded to the EHF's invitation to meet their favorite players.
What the MVP Dome in Budapest looks like 24 hours before the Champions League Final Four
From 18:00 local time Bojana Popovic's students entered the scene. They were the first and had the advantage that the fans of the opponents in the Final Four were there.
In turn, each player had to describe her colleague around her with one word. The end of the moment was marked by chanting “CSM, CSM!”. The Romanians did not shout alone. French fans, most of them Metz, dressed in yellow, and Gyor joined the gallery. A moment of perfect fair play.
Equally surprising were the fans of Gloria Bistrita, CSM's rival in the internal competition. More than 20 were scattered around the arena, wearing the insignia of their favorite band. Asked if they came to enjoy handball or are there to support the Romanian team, they did not hesitate: “One is in the championship, one is in the Champions League! We are all together these days.”
Several messages in Romanian were displayed inside the arena: “Hello CSM!” or “Come on Bucharest!”.
More than 19,000 fans are expected for the semifinals Metz – CSM and Brest – Gyor
If today there were 2000 people, tomorrow more than 19,000 are expected. Only a few hundred tickets left. Most are being sold by fans who paid early, in the first phase of the sale, but changed their plans in the meantime.

There was also a lot of work in the huge yard around the hall. Today, at lunchtime, dozens of workers were putting the final details in place. At 18:00, when fans were allowed in, the shops, terraces and gaming areas were fully operational.
I think over 2,000 people had already bought tickets before we qualified. So great was the trust in us! The atmosphere is felt in the city, I can feel the fans just talking about it. However, we must not put pressure on ourselves, we must enjoy handball. That's my mission: to convey to the girls that we have to go out there and just enjoy the game
