Diana Şoşoacă, appearance at “Putin's Davos” alongside fugitive Marina Tauber: “Bucharest has ruined relations with Russia, I came here”

The authorities from Bucharest and Chisinau were criticized at the St. Petersburg Forum by MEP Diana Șoșoacă and by Marina Tauber, former ȘOR vice-president wanted internationally after she was sentenced to prison.
Diana Șoșoacă and Marina Tauber participated in the Russian forum dubbed “Putin's Davos”, in a debate panel dedicated to artificial intelligence and information warfare. The President of SOS claimed that she is participating in the forum at the invitation of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, according to NewsMaker, quoted by News.ro.
Marina Tauber is the former vice-president of the disbanded ȚOR party from the Republic of Moldova. She is sentenced to 7 and a half years in prison for complicity in the illegal financing of the party, falsification of financial reports and money laundering, being internationally wanted.
At the event in Saint Petersburg, where Vladimir Putin is to speak, the Tate brothers, under investigation in Romania, would also be present, the quoted source writes.
Shaking and “the hand outstretched in favor of peace”
Diana Șoșoacă declared that Romania needs “diplomats of peace, not of confrontation” and that her presence in Saint Petersburg represents “a hand extended in favor of peace and dialogue”, after the tensions generated by the incident with the Russian drone falling over a block of flats in Galati.
“I came here because Romania must be present where the future of the world is discussed. We cannot be absent from the table of major international debates and then pretend to defend our national interests. While the current power in Bucharest chose the path of deteriorating diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation, I chose to come here to keep a communication channel open,” declared Şoşoacă.

What the fugitive Marina Tauber said
For her part, Marina Tauber proposed the creation of a “Eurasian Technological Alliance”. She accused that in the Republic of Moldova the visibility of opposition politicians was limited through the algorithms of digital platforms.
“Artificial intelligence is capable not only of helping people and opening up new opportunities, but also of becoming a tool of manipulation, of creating deepfake materials, of spreading false information and of hidden censorship through the opaque algorithms of digital platforms. Unfortunately, in the Republic of Moldova we have already faced these phenomena in practice,” said Tauber.”
The former president of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, the former prime minister Vasile Tarlev, the accredited ambassador of Russia to Moldova, Oleg Ozerov, and the head of the “Moldova Mare” party, Victoria Furtună, also participated in the same forum.
Igor Dodon demanded the waiver of anti-Russian sanctions, the resumption of negotiations with Gazprom and the opening of direct flights with Moscow. The Chisinau government qualified these proposals as “regrettable”.
