A festive procession dedicated to Children's Day and the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia took place in Krasnoyarsk on Tatyshev Island. More than 600 children from different parts of the city took part in it.
Children walked around the island in national costumes. The Dolgans, Evenks, Tuvans and Buryats presented their traditional images. The participants also introduced the audience to the culture of the peoples of the Volga region, the Caucasus and neighboring countries. The procession ended with a round dance of friendship between peoples.
Mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin spoke about the event in his Telegram channel:
“In the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, this procession became a symbol of the unification of the multinational family of our city. I am grateful to the children and their parents for their thorough preparation!” – wrote the head of the city.
The mayor also published photographs from the holiday on social networks and invited Krasnoyarsk residents to evaluate the preparation of the march participants.
We would like to add that the festive program on Tatyshev Island continues. The entertainment venues are still open and the whole family can visit them.
