Violent impact between a car and a coach on DN 67., after one of the drivers allegedly fell asleep at the wheel
A road accident occurred on Saturday morning on DN 67, in the town of Meriș, Mehedinți county, at kilometer 38+800, where a car and a coach collided. Two people are injured.

According to the first information, the driver of a car fell asleep at the wheel and entered the opposite direction, where he entered a coach, according to Total24.ro
The impact was violent.
Traffic police, SMURD crews and SAJ ambulances intervened at the scene, who provided first aid and secured the area for the investigation. Traffic in the area was temporarily restricted, with traffic taking place alternately until the roadway was cleared.
The bus was carrying out a regular passenger service at the time of the accident.
According to some sources, there were miners in the bus.
Following the collision, several passengers complained of panic attacks, but only two people, including the driver of the car, required emergency medical care.
The man was picked up by medical crews and transported to the hospital for further investigation.

Law enforcement officers have opened a file for personal injury and are to establish, based on testimony and evidence, the exact circumstances of the accident. The first indications are that fatigue at the wheel would be the main cause.
